Advisor Link and Advisor Note System (ANS)

Advisor Link is an online tool for advisors that provides entry to DARS SAPRS, the Advisor Note System, and other advising reports and tools. The Advisor Note System (ANS) is accessed through Advisor Link, therefore, appropriate FERPA training must be complete and on record.

COSMOS/Matrix

COSMOS/Matrix  provides information about students at the point of application to the University.

DARS

DARS stands for Degree Audit Reporting System and is automated process for tracking a student's academic progress toward completing an academic program at the UA.

FERPA

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) is the federal law that governs the rights of students and institutional responsibilities with respect to student records. FERPA training is required for access to student records.

Grade Calculators

The A/B deficit calculator helps determine how many hours of good grades are needed to achieve a target GPA.

Integrated Information Warehouse (IIW)

The IIW provides academic advisors with access to institutional data, including major rosters, lists of students admitted to the UA for future semesters, graduation numbers, and course enrollment information.

Room & Course Scheduling

Room & Course Scheduling (RCS) works directly with academic departments to schedule its courses for the next semester. In addition, RCS works with clubs, departments, and off-campus organizations to reserve rooms for special events.

SIS

The Student Information System (SIS) is a collection of systems that support the Admissions, Student Records, Financial Aid, Accounts Receivable, Advising, and Degree Audit functions of the University.

Transfer Course Tools

The Arizona Course Applicability System (AzCAS) is an online tool that provides information on courses, course equivalencies, and program requirements at a CAS institution to anyone who accesses a CAS website.

UIS

University Information Technology Services (UITS) maintains a repository of operational data, called the University Information System (UIS), extracted from the university's administrative systems. It takes considerable knowledge of these systems to successfully interpret UIS data. UIS data are normally current at 8 AM daily.
