Minor Description:

The GWS minor requires 21 units, with a minimum of 12 upper division units.

Minor Requirements:

The GWS minor requires two core courses: GWS240, Gender in a Transnational World; and GWS305, Feminist Theories. It requires one core elective course to be selected from the following: GWS307, GWS309, GWS325, GWS358, GWS386. The remaining four courses can be any GWS courses with the exception of courses numbered 150 and 160 which are approved only for Tier 1 General Education.

Declaring the Minor:

To declare the GWS minor, students must meet with the Debbie Marlow in Harvill 335. Students will be required to sign a minor checklist acknowledging that they understand the minor requirements that were explained to them by the advisor. The checklist which outlines the GWS minor requirements is available on this link:

Double Use of Minor Course Work:

GWS does not permit double use of courses between its minor and a major; double dipping is allowed between minors in two degrees.
