Library (UA Main)
Need to Know:
- Spaces & Technology: Even with the temporary reduction in hours & building availability, the Libraries still offer great study spaces for students. These include walk-in areas for both quiet and computer study as well as rooms that can reserved ahead of time (https://library.arizona.edu/visit/spaces). We offer access to technology, including the check-out of laptops, tablets and more (https://library.arizona.edu/tech/borrow).
- Information resources (print & online): UA Libraries have over 9 million books, journals and electronic volumes in our collection and almost 1,000 research databases for student and faculty use. Discovery and access begin on our website (https://library.arizona.edu). This is also where students can request items from other libraries nationwide (interlibrary loan).
- Help & Support: We offer a range of help and support options. Students can ask a question via chat or text, attend a workshop (virtually for the moment) or connect with our liaison librarian program. Each college, school or department has a liaison librarian assigned to it. These expert librarians offer one-on-one assistance with research from a research paper to a dissertation and everything in-between (https://library.arizona.edu/about/contact/your-librarian).
UA Libraries & Responding to COVID-19: The Libraries response to the pandemic is on-going so the availability of our spaces and services may continue to change. But no matter what – we remain dedicated to helping students with their research & learning needs!
