A minimum of 31 total JUS units including: 4th semester Hebrew (or other relevant language equivalency), one core course, and 23 additional JUS units. Minimum 21 units must be upper division (300-400 level) coursework. Minimum of 18 units must be in residence.
FOURTH SEMESTER HEBREW COURSE
Completed JUS 203B with a grade of “C” or better, or a grade of “C” or better in a foreign language spoken by Jewish communities as approved by the Judaic Studies Undergraduate Advisor. Other languages may include Arabic, Farsi, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish.

JUDAIC STUDIES ELECTIVES: Complete 23 units of JUS Electives
*Note: No Tier 1 Courses numbered 150, 160, or 170 can be used in the JUS Major.
A minor or double major in another subject is required as part of this degree.
Double Use of JUS Major Course Work:
Judaic Studies: permits up to 9 units from the JUS Major to double dip with a second major or a minor, as long as the courses are listed in both programs and the double use is acceptable with the other department advisor.
