Learn a new language — a visual language!

With our new minor, you'll learn American Sign Language and information about Deaf Culture. The shape, placement, and movement of the hands, as well as facial expressions and body movements, all play vital parts in conveying information through ASL. When you graduate from the UA and enter the work world, you'll be able to communicate with deaf co-workers, customers, and friends. Not only that, knowing ASL looks great on your résumé, and it's fun!
